Chris oversees the delivery of advice to our client families. He brings with him 30 years of experience, working exclusively with entrepreneurs and families in investment management, multi-generational planning and the succession of closely held businesses. Prior to founding Biltmore Family Office, Chris was a Partner at GenSpring Family Offices. He also served as President for both the Southeast and the Florida regions for JPMorgan Private Bank where he was responsible for over $18 billion of family wealth. Chris also led the national group of portfolio managers as a Managing Director at Brown Brothers Harriman & Co and served as Director to their various trust companies. Chris graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1987, and has received executive degrees from the Harvard Business School and the Darden Business School. He has served as the Board Chair for Discovery Place, Inc., as board member and Treasurer for World of God, Inc., and currently serves on the investment committee of the Greater Charlotte Cultural Trust, as a director of Heineman Medical Research, Inc., as the Charlotte chapter chair of TIGER21, and as a foundation board member of the NC Museum of History.
